Federal Territory Couture
In line with its status, covering three cities of Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya, the Federal Territory is the epitome of fashion variety in the Malaysian society. While celebrating the colours of an integrated society that is underscored by intensive development and being the pride of the nation, the traditional attire is still considered sacred and worn often by the people.
For the Malays, the traditional Malay fashion such as ‘baju Kurung Teluk Belanga, baju Kurung Cekak Musang, and baju Kebaya’ are still considered as couture and are worn proudly in every day life as well as on special occasions. The Chinese fashion is derived from the Samfoo and Cheongsam, while the Indians are clad in Sarees and the Kurta.
